Job Description
The Technical IT Project Manager and Business/Technical Analyst is a hybrid role accountable for delivering IT projects end-to-end — from requirements definition through successful deployment and adoption.
This individual will combine project management discipline, agile facilitation, technical expertise, and business analysis skills to deliver enterprise-level technology initiatives. The role involves coordinating multiple cross-functional teams, translating complex business requirements into actionable user stories, supporting UAT testing, and ensuring all project documentation and artifacts are captured within Jira and related PMO tools.
Projects may span enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, Informatica MDM, Azure Data Lake, and custom portals, with integrations supporting cross-functional operations, regulatory reporting, Producer Services, and Service Provider functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Delivery- Manage and deliver IT projects end-to-end — from initiation and planning through execution, testing, and implementation.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, delivery schedules, risk registers, and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate activities across business, technical, and vendor teams to ensure scope, timeline, and quality objectives are met.
- Track and report progress through Smartsheet, Jira, and IT PMO/Portfolio dashboards.
- Manage dependencies, scope changes, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and coordination of delivery priorities, as applicable.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and transparency.
- Identify delivery impediments and proactively drive resolution across teams.
- Partner with business owners to elicit, document, and validate business requirements and process flows.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and related documentation in JIRA.
- Conduct impact analysis, data flow mapping, and feasibility assessments for new functionality or regulatory updates.
- Collaborate with architects, developers and technical leads to ensure requirements are understood and proposed solutions align with CAA’s architecture and integration strategy.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, track identified defects and issues through resolution.
- Engage with Product Owners, SMEs, and cross-functional leaders to align requirements, priorities, and delivery outcomes.
- Communicate effectively across business and technical audiences to ensure shared understanding and accountability.
- Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external vendors to drive collaboration and solution delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including user stories, requirements, test cases, and release notes.
- Use Jira and Lucid chart for backlog management, progress tracking, reporting and visualization of workflows and dependencies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of IT PMO/Portfolio templates, processes, and agile delivery practices.
- Provide light post-production support, including issue triage, defect coordination, and root cause analysis.
- Support implementation readiness, deployment coordination and transition to operational support.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
- Proven experience managing and delivering complex IT projects end-to-end.
- Strong command of Agile and Scrum frameworks; able to balance agile delivery with enterprise governance.
- Solid technical foundation in enterprise platforms and integrations, including Salesforce, Workday, MDM, DataLake, cloud platforms, Azure and related technologies).
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements and communicate technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Lucidchart, MS Project, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and facilitation skills with a focus on accountability and delivery.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of combined experience managing enterprise technology projects and performing business and/or technical analysis.
- Demonstrated experience leading Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid technology delivery methodologies in an enterprise environment.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with Salesforce, Workday, MDM, data integration, cloud, or comparable enterprise platforms is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, CBAP, or a comparable project management, Agile, or business analysis certification is preferred.
- Location: Fully Remote
- Pay Rate: Based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge and experience.
- Reports To: Director, IT PMO and Portfolio Management
