Job Description
Whole Family Health Center (WFHC) is seeking an experienced, compassionate, licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our growing Behavioral Health team in Vero Beach.
This is more than a traditional outpatient counseling position. As a Behavioral Health Therapist in our Timely Access Program, you will play a vital role in helping patients receive behavioral health services sooner by providing timely assessments, brief evidence-based interventions, and connections to ongoing care that improve both mental and physical health outcomes.

The Timely Access Program was created to improve access to behavioral health services by reducing wait times and ensuring patients receive the right level of care when they need it most.
The Behavioral Health Therapist provides focused assessments and short-term therapeutic interventions designed to stabilize patients, reduce barriers to care, and connect them with appropriate ongoing behavioral health and community resources.
Working as part of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will help patients navigate behavioral health needs while supporting Whole Family Health Center's commitment to timely, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and focused clinical interviews.
- Provide brief, evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Assist patients in developing healthy coping strategies and individualized treatment goals.
- Collaborate closely with primary care providers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Connect patients with community resources and ongoing behavioral health services when appropriate.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record.
- Help improve patient access to behavioral health services through efficient assessment, coordination, and transition of care.
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
- Current Florida licensure as an LMHC or LCSW.
- Experience providing behavioral health therapy.
- Strong assessment, counseling, communication, and clinical documentation skills.
- Experience using an electronic health record.
- Experience in community mental health, primary care, or other outpatient healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of community behavioral health resources.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole.
Salary: $72,000+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
