Work Hours: Full-Time; Monday - Friday from 4:30am to 1:00pm

Qualifications

Here's What You Need:

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Experience

• 1 year of relevant experience in a high-volume restaurant, hospital, or Institution is required, or commiserate education and/or experience required.

Certificate & Licenses

• FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Required.

Skills

• Reading, basic math, written language in English is required.

• Understanding of safe food handling and quality standards of food products.

• Basic computer skills required.

• Good communication and organizational skills to exercise independent judgment.

• Basic knowledge of food budget and ability to adjust costs accordingly.

What You Will Do:

• Purchase items based on vendor contracts and par levels utilizing computer. Fully understands CMAs. Purchase highest quality for the value. Maintain/update order guides as necessary.

• Monitor and collaborate the surveillance and/or security of the food and supply inventory.

• Monitor expenditures for budget compliance.

• Inspect delivered products against established standards; rejects products not meeting those standards. Reads and understands invoices; knows procedures for obtaining credit from vendors for discrepancy in invoicing.

• Consults with Supervisors, Managers or Directors and vendors, as appropriate, on inventory management. Maintains appropriate record keeping.

• Monitor the requisition, distribution and inventory of products. Report variances to Director/Manager.

• Maintain storeroom and refrigerator areas to meet all standards for food safety and sanitation. Follows proper hand hygiene.

• Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
