This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sales Manager based in India.

This role is designed for an experienced commercial leader who can drive growth within the healthcare, diagnostics, and life sciences sectors.
You will be responsible for expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and accelerating revenue across an assigned territory.
The position combines strategic sales leadership, account development, and deep customer engagement to deliver measurable business impact.
You will work with clinical, institutional, and industry stakeholders to promote innovative solutions that support better healthcare outcomes.
The role requires strong ownership of sales strategy, pipeline management, and partnership development in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for driving commercial performance, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding business opportunities across the assigned region. The role requires strong market understanding, sales execution, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Drive revenue growth and increase market share across healthcare, diagnostics, and life sciences solution portfolios.
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and CRM discipline.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, institutional stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Lead strategic customer discussions, including solution presentations, negotiations, pricing conversations, and partnership development.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion through upselling, cross-selling, and competitive conversions.
  • Strengthen engagement with key opinion leaders and decision-makers within healthcare organizations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Service, Applications, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer value.
  • Manage distributor and channel partner relationships to maximize regional performance and market coverage.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to refine commercial strategies.
  • Support government tender processes and large-scale customer engagements when required.
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting, CRM updates, and business performance analysis.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial expertise within medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences, along with the ability to manage complex customer relationships and deliver sustainable growth.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of commercial sales experience within medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business within competitive markets.
  • Experience with in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) instrumentation and consumables is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to government tender processes and institutional sales environments is an advantage.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce (SFDC) for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with scientific, clinical, and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and customer needs.
  • Self-driven, commercially focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with approximately 75% travel required within the assigned territory.
