The Senior Relationship Manager, Equipment Finance will oversee existing customer relationships, drive new financing opportunities, and provide strategic support to clients in the construction equipment sector. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial finance, customer needs, risk management, and relationship development.
- Manage and strengthen existing equipment finance relationships while partnering with senior leadership to meet customer financing objectives.
- Develop new financing opportunities within the existing customer base, including opportunities generated through bids, contracts, and publicly funded projects.
- Build trusted relationships with customers by providing industry knowledge, equipment expertise, and customized financing solutions.
- Evaluate customer financial conditions, business experience, and collateral requirements to recommend appropriate financing structures.
- Gather and communicate industry intelligence from customers, vendors, suppliers, and other market sources to support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships and improve portfolio performance through proactive client engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to improve sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Support sales development initiatives through meetings, training sessions, conference calls, and industry events.
- Represent the organization in the marketplace while building awareness and generating new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with risk policies, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.
- Escalate potential risks, operational concerns, or customer issues appropriately to management.
The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial finance professional with a strong background in relationship management, equipment financing, and customer-focused business development. They should have excellent communication skills, financial judgment, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience totaling 11 years, including 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing commercial finance or equipment finance relationships.
- Knowledge of construction industry equipment financing is highly preferred.
- Prior credit underwriting experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate financial information, customer needs, and business opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver solutions aligned with customer and business objectives.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, regulatory expectations, and financial controls.
- Competitive annual salary range of $107,500 - $179,100 USD, based on experience, skills, and location.
