Secondary Operator - 1st Shift

Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled plastic trimmer with great detail to Quality to join the Tank team! Your main job is routing, trimming, and assembling parts from the rotational molding oven. While doing this, you will also be responsible for using the correct components and ensuring the quality of the parts that you produce before transferring them to the Shipping department for delivery to the customer.

This job is for you if...
Able to lift up to and including 50 pounds

Stand on your feet at least 10 hours a day

Withstand a hot manufacturing environment for up to 12 hours per day

Key Responsibilities
Understand the responsibilities of the work area and the stations.

This position requires flexibility to learn new positions anywhere in the company.

    Safety is everyones responsibility, and as a leader you are ensuring that all safety rules are being followed, including yourself.

    Understand the paperwork that is required for each product in the work area.

    Understand the products and what parts of them need to be routed, trimmed, torched and assembled to ensure the quality standards are being met.

    Communicate to the Supervisor if any problems or hold ups arise to ensure no late orders.

    Communicate to your Team Leader about any problematic parts coming into the area from the oven.

    Check random parts coming off each area to ensure that scrap is caught quickly and not sent to Shipping.

    Ensure all scrap is recorded and reported to the Supervisor.

    You will ensure a clean and safe work area.

    Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of every job.

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
      * Education - high school education or GED required

      * Manufacturing experience - 1 year required - 3 years preferred

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
