You will lead a unified technical organization that connects pre-sales expertise with post-sales success strategies.
The role combines customer-facing leadership, technical strategy, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will help enterprise customers unlock the full value of modern DevOps and database technologies while improving internal sales and delivery processes.
Working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams, you will influence product direction and customer outcomes.

The Pre and Post-Sales Technical Director will own the strategy, execution, and growth of technical customer engagement across the entire customer lifecycle. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise, and the ability to create alignment between customer needs, business goals, and product innovation.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing technical organization covering both pre-sales and post-sales functions.
- Hire, coach, mentor, and create career development paths for Sales Engineers and Technical Advisors.
- Establish clear goals, enablement programs, and operating models that allow teams to deliver consistent technical value.
- Define and monitor team KPIs, including sales conversion metrics, proof-of-concept success, customer adoption, time-to-value, and technical health indicators.
- Own the technical sales strategy, including discovery sessions, solution architecture, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution.
- Ensure technical teams effectively communicate product capabilities and business value to engineering leaders and enterprise customers.
- Partner with Sales leadership to improve technical win rates, accelerate sales cycles, and strengthen customer engagement.
- Lead technical onboarding, implementation, and adoption strategies for new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with Customer Success teams to identify and resolve technical challenges impacting renewals and expansion opportunities.
- Represent customer technical needs in discussions with Product and Engineering teams, helping prioritize improvements and address product gaps.
- Develop scalable technical resources, including demo environments, proof-of-concept frameworks, reference architectures, and implementation playbooks.
- Provide executive reporting on technical team performance, customer impact, sales support outcomes, and adoption success.
The ideal candidate is an experienced technical leader with a strong background in enterprise software, customer-facing engineering, and team management. You should have the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value while building scalable processes and high-performing teams.
- 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Professional Services, or similar technical customer-facing roles within B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing technical teams.
- Proven experience managing pre-sales organizations and supporting enterprise sales cycles.
- Experience selling technology solutions to engineering leaders and technical decision-makers in large organizations.
- Strong technical knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, database management, infrastructure tooling, or related technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to design and scale technical processes, including proof-of-concept frameworks, implementation methodologies, and demo environments.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with database technologies, DevOps platforms, or developer tooling is highly preferred.
