ACH Operations Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ACH Operations Analyst based in the United States.

This role supports a fast-growing digital payments operation by ensuring accurate, reliable, and compliant movement of funds across payment systems and banking partners. The position plays a key part in managing reconciliations, resolving transaction issues, improving operational workflows, and supporting payment program performance. Working closely with finance, operations, customer support, and external partners, the role requires strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Accountabilities:

The ACH Operations Analyst will oversee critical financial operations processes, ensuring accurate transaction management, compliance support, and continuous improvement across payment workflows. This role requires strong analytical skills, ownership of operational processes, and the ability to collaborate across teams to solve complex payment challenges.

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across transactional systems, financial platforms, and banking partners.
  • Monitor and validate end-to-end money movement activity, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, failed transactions, and processing exceptions by partnering with internal teams and external financial institutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve reconciliation workflows, and leverage AI-driven tools to increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage merchant authorization processes, ensuring required documentation and approvals are accurately collected, validated, and maintained.
  • Support customer and merchant inquiries related to payment operations by providing timely, accurate, and professional assistance.
  • Maintain operational documentation and contribute to improving processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compliance requirements and strengthen payment program reliability.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience in financial operations, fintech, banking, or accounting environments, with strong knowledge of payment processes and reconciliation practices. They are detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with technology-driven financial systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in financial operations, fintech, banking, accounting, or related fields.
  • Proven experience with reconciliation, transaction balancing, and financial operations processes.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, electronic money movement, payment processing, and digital wallet ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with ACH networks and payment workflows.
  • Knowledge of NACHA Operating Rules and ACH compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple operational priorities.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external banking partners.
  • Tech-forward mindset with interest in automation, process optimization, and emerging tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document processes clearly.
