Are you outgoing, dependable, and comfortable connecting with children and adults?

Girl Scouts Louisiana East is looking for a friendly and energetic Program Facilitator to help recruit new girl and adult members. You will meet families, prospective volunteers, school representatives, and community partners while sharing the opportunities Girl Scouts offers girls and the adults who support them.

This is an active, flexible role for someone who enjoys meeting new people, attending community events, answering questions, and helping girls and adults take their first steps toward joining Girl Scouts.

What You’ll Do (overview)

• Help recruit new girl members and adult volunteers.
• Staff recruitment events at schools, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other local locations.
• Welcome girls, parents, caregivers, and prospective volunteers.
• Explain Girl Scout programs, membership opportunities, and volunteer roles.
• Give brief presentations and participate in individual and small-group conversations.
• Lead simple, hands-on activities that introduce girls and families to Girl Scouts.
• Help prospective members and volunteers navigate the registration process.
• Prepare event displays, organize supplies, and track attendance and interested participants.
• Provide accurate information for timely follow-up by the Membership team.
• Represent Girl Scouts positively and professionally throughout the community.

What You’ll Need (minimum requirements)

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience interacting with youth and adults through schools, clubs, youth ministry, community service, or a similar setting.
• Friendly, clear, and professional communication skills.
• Confidence speaking with children, families, prospective volunteers, and community representatives.
• Strong organization, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance.
• Ability to travel to recruitment locations and lift or move materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nonprofit, volunteer, recruitment, community outreach, or Girl Scout experience is a plus. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
