The VP, Market Leader will drive territory growth by building strong client relationships, increasing assets under management, and delivering strategic investment guidance to financial professionals.
- Develop and execute territory strategies to increase assets under management, attract new business, and retain existing client relationships.
- Build trusted partnerships with broker/dealer communities, advisors, and key industry stakeholders within the assigned market.
- Provide consultative investment guidance by understanding client objectives and aligning solutions with their business and portfolio needs.
- Position investment capabilities, products, and strategies to support client growth and strengthen market share.
- Serve as an industry expert by sharing market insights, investment perspectives, and innovative sales approaches.
- Identify new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, relationship development, and competitive market analysis.
- Create and adapt territory business plans based on market trends, client needs, and evolving industry conditions.
- Leverage internal resources, portfolio managers, and subject matter experts to deliver customized solutions for sophisticated clients.
- Represent the organization at industry events, client meetings, and professional activities to increase brand awareness.
- Collaborate with internal sales teams and partners to achieve revenue objectives and maintain strong teamwork.
- Manage territory resources, including travel and expense planning, to maximize business impact.
The ideal candidate is an experienced financial services sales leader with strong investment knowledge, relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage complex client needs.
- 8–12 years of related sales experience, preferably within asset management, wealth management, or financial services.
- Active Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.
- Strong understanding of investment strategies, market dynamics, and macroeconomic factors influencing client decisions.
- Demonstrated experience working with financial advisors, broker/dealer channels, private wealth professionals, or institutional clients.
- Knowledge of investment vehicles and strategies including separately managed accounts (SMAs), ETFs, alternatives, and customized portfolio solutions.
- Ability to identify opportunities, develop strategic sales plans, and consistently achieve business growth objectives.
- Strong consultative selling, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with internal teams and leveraging organizational resources to deliver client solutions.
- Ability to manage complex relationships, prioritize opportunities, and operate effectively in a competitive market environment.
- Familiarity with platforms such as RPM, UMA, or similar investment management systems is preferred.
- CIMA and/or CFA certification is a plus.
- Competitive base compensation of approximately $125,000 USD, plus discretionary bonus opportunities.
