Technical Interviewer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Interviewer based in Ireland.

As a Technical Interviewer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating top technology talent for a wide range of technical positions. Working within a globally distributed and fully remote environment, you will assess candidates' technical capabilities across software development, cloud technologies, and emerging technology stacks. This position combines technical expertise with recruitment excellence, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with hiring teams, technical specialists, and business stakeholders. You will contribute directly to building high-quality talent pipelines by designing effective assessments, conducting in-depth interviews, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Ideal for professionals who enjoy both technology and talent evaluation, this role provides broad exposure to diverse technical domains and international hiring projects.

Accountabilities
  • Conduct comprehensive technical interviews with pre-screened candidates to assess their technical knowledge, skills, experience, and overall suitability for client requirements.
  • Evaluate candidates across a range of technologies, including software development, cloud platforms, databases, and modern engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with recruitment and technical teams to build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for various technical roles.
  • Participate in intake meetings with stakeholders to understand hiring needs, technical requirements, and role expectations.
  • Lead or support technical discussions with clients and hiring managers when required.
  • Design, develop, and refine interview questions, technical assessments, and evaluation frameworks tailored to specific positions.
  • Research emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure assessment methods remain relevant and effective.
  • Provide structured feedback and recommendations to support hiring decisions and recruitment strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in technical screening processes and candidate evaluation standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical recruitment, talent acquisition, or technical interviewing.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a software developer with practical knowledge of backend development, frontend technologies, databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering roles, technical competencies, and industry best practices.
  • Experience conducting technical interviews and applying structured candidate assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably platforms such as TeamTailor, Greenhouse, or similar solutions.
  • Ability to work independently within a fully remote and globally distributed environment.
  • Experience in outsourcing, outstaffing, or multinational organizations is considered an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills are a plus.
