BP Resin Sales Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BP Resin Sales Specialist based in India.

This role is a high-impact, customer-facing commercial position at the intersection of biotechnology, bioprocessing, and advanced chromatography solutions. You will be responsible for driving growth of chromatography resin products by combining deep technical expertise with strong commercial execution. The role involves working closely with biopharma customers to support process development, scale-up, and commercialization of life-saving therapies. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients optimize downstream processing workflows and select the right resin solutions. The position offers strong exposure to global biotech customers, strategic accounts, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing and product teams. It is a field-based role with ownership of a defined territory and direct impact on revenue growth and customer success. You will contribute to advancing next-generation therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

Accountabilities:

Drive sales growth of chromatography resin products by identifying opportunities, influencing design-in decisions, and securing long-term commercial wins across assigned accounts.

  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans aligned with customer pipelines and bioprocess development needs.
  • Conduct technical customer engagements to support resin selection, process optimization, and scale-up activities.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key biopharma customers and stakeholders across development and manufacturing teams.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with account managers, marketing, and product teams to execute campaigns, seminars, and technical workshops.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer pipelines to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain CRM systems with accurate customer data, forecasts, and engagement records.
  • Support product adoption by delivering technical presentations and driving value-based discussions.
  • Provide feedback from customers to inform product development and portfolio strategy.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads, marketing initiatives, and customer inquiries to maximize conversion.
Requirements:

Strong background in bioprocessing and downstream processing with hands-on expertise in chromatography resins and related technologies.

  • 6–8 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in downstream processing or bioprocess sales/application roles.
  • Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field; PhD preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of chromatography, purification processes, and bioprocess scale-up.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical sales, application support, or key account management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage pipelines and achieve revenue targets.
  • Experience working with CRM tools and data-driven sales planning.
  • Familiarity with GMP/cGMP and regulatory environments in biopharmaceutical manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory for customer engagement and business development.
