Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and personalized guest service in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and service standards
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, pricing, promotions, and beverage offerings.
• Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with liquor laws and age restrictions.
• Perform food and beverage service in a timely and professional manner.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash, debit, and credit card payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, stocking, and maintaining bar supplies and liquor inventory.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support departmental and operational needs.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to Whitecap is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Serve It Right Saskatchewan (SIRS) certification required prior to start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a restaurant, lounge, resort, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, mixology, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Professional appearance and grooming standards must be maintained.
• Basic math, cash handling, and computer skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
