Job Description
Brief Overview: Safely handle CDL Vehicles to transport items needed for use on a commercial construction and excavation site.
Educational Requirements:
Valid Class A or Class B (Can be upgraded to a Class A after employment) Commercial Driver’s license with no air brake or manual restrictions
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic understanding of vehicles, traffic laws and DOT Regulations
OSHA 10 or greater (Can be obtained after employment)
General Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Arrive in appropriate attire and ready to work in various weather conditions
Drive and Operate trucks of various kind
Keep a clean driving and FMCSA Clearing House record
Ability to pass random drug or alcohol tests
Follow instructions; locate and read location destinations on road maps or GPS
Pre trip inspections report (dvir)
Pick up equipment and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver as instructed in a safe manner
Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labor
Must have a cell phone
Keep an up-to-date medical exam
Must be able to work Monday through Friday including most Saturdays during peak season
Basic, Social and Technical Skills:
Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance
Ability to lift over 80lbs and carry ladders and other portable tools
Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including but not limited to shovels, saws, etc.
Ability to practice safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work
Understand and apply principles, techniques and procedures required for effective job performance
Perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushing
Ability to learn and use 2-way radios, cell phone applications and fillable forms
Activities and Tasks
Fill out and turn in material and equipment hauling tickets as necessary
Complete monthly 100 Mile Radius log
Move excavation equipment to and from job site locations including loading and unloading
Pick up and deliver materials and turn in all pick tickets associated with materials after reviewing for accuracy
Job Hazards:
Exposure to the elements including extremely hot and cold temperatures
Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
Exposure to loud noises
Exposure to hazardous equipment and moving mechanical parts
