This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer Offshore based in Mexico.
This is a high-impact engineering role within a fast-scaling health-tech environment focused on modernizing prescription access and delivery across the healthcare ecosystem. You will design and build backend systems that connect patients, prescribers, pharmacies, and manufacturers through reliable, scalable APIs and intelligent workflows. The role sits at the intersection of platform architecture, client onboarding acceleration, and AI-driven automation. You will help shape how new healthcare partners are integrated efficiently through configurable technical systems. Working closely with product and engineering leadership, you will influence core architectural decisions that support rapid growth and operational excellence. This is a remote-first position offering autonomy, technical ownership, and the opportunity to solve complex, real-world healthcare challenges at scale.
- Design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices that support high-volume, low-latency healthcare operations.
- Develop configurable, rule-based workflows that enable efficient and repeatable client onboarding processes.
- Implement AI-driven automations to improve engineering velocity, system quality, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure system reliability through robust observability, logging, monitoring, and fault-tolerant architecture practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Act as a technical reference point, mentoring engineers and promoting strong architectural and coding standards.
- Document system architecture and support technical escalations related to client launches and platform issues.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in backend or distributed systems engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Golang or similar modern backend programming languages.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
- Experience building or working with complex workflow systems, rule engines, or highly configurable enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments; health-tech or regulated industry exposure is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fully remote role based in Mexico.
- Competitive monthly compensation ranging from MX$60K to MX$110K, depending on experience.
