Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VDC Project Lead based in the United States.
This role sits at the intersection of construction, BIM/VDC technology, and project leadership, focusing on transforming complex design intent into fully coordinated, buildable solutions. You will lead virtual design and construction efforts across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring models, drawings, and fabrication details align with project goals, schedules, and field realities. The position plays a critical role in driving coordination between preconstruction, project management, field operations, and manufacturing teams to optimize execution before fabrication begins. You will also help shape prefabrication strategies, improve constructability, and ensure high-quality model outputs that directly impact project efficiency and delivery outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in technical problem-solving, cross-team collaboration, and guiding others in VDC best practices. It offers the opportunity to influence how major construction projects are designed, coordinated, and delivered at scale.
In this role, you will lead VDC coordination efforts while ensuring that design intent is accurately translated into constructible, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, improve fabrication readiness, and maintain strong technical standards across all VDC deliverables.
- Lead BIM/VDC coordination efforts across projects, ensuring alignment between design intent, constructability, and fabrication requirements
- Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, field teams, and manufacturing teams to optimize project execution strategies
- Review contract drawings, models, and specifications to evaluate constructability and identify opportunities for improvement prior to fabrication
- Oversee quality control of VDC/BIM models and fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards
- Support prefabrication planning, material selection, and packaging strategies to improve efficiency and reduce field rework
- Guide and mentor VDC team members, promoting best practices, technical accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Conduct site visits with field teams to capture real-world feedback and inform modeling and execution strategies
- Support scheduling, reporting, and workflow optimization to ensure project delivery aligns with quality, budget, and timeline expectations
This role requires strong experience in VDC, BIM coordination, and construction project execution, along with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across technical and field environments. You should be highly detail-oriented, solution-driven, and comfortable making independent decisions in complex project settings.
