Cook — Chopp Boxx Chopp Boxx is hiring a dependable and motivated Cook to prepare high-quality food for our Chopp Boxx and Desperado Baja concepts. This position requires someone who can work efficiently, follow recipes and portion standards, maintain a clean station, and communicate well during busy service periods. Responsibilities * Set up and stock the assigned cooking station before service. * Prepare approved Chopp Boxx and Desperado Baja menu items. * Cook chicken, steak, shrimp, vegetables, rice, lo mein, appetizers, and other assigned products. * Follow recipes, portion standards, presentation guidelines, and ticket modifications. * Verify required cooking, hot-holding, and cold-holding temperatures. * Read tickets carefully and coordinate timing with other kitchen employees. * Prevent cross-contamination and follow allergen procedures. * Label, date, rotate, cool, reheat, and store food properly. * Restock ingredients and communicate shortages before products run out. * Maintain a clean and sanitized station throughout the shift. * Complete assigned opening, closing, dishwashing, and cleaning duties. * Accurately complete temperature and food-safety logs. * Report equipment problems, injuries, unsafe food, and sanitation concerns immediately. * Assist with prep, deliveries, and other kitchen responsibilities when needed. * Follow all attendance, uniform, phone, food-safety, and workplace policies. This position does not include sushi preparation or sushi-station responsibilities.
