Job Description

Our Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, repair, and routine maintenance of all industrial packaging equipment at our Atlanta Division (College Park). In addition, will be responsible for overall facility maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, install/assemble, test, adjust, and disassemble packaging equipment from various manufacturers using electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Build and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all packaging equipment onsite using manufacturer recommended guidelines.
  • Repair packaging equipment, which includes troubleshooting, determining extent of repair, estimate labor time, and complete repair parts request.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting equipment and have excellent customer service communication skills.
  • Maintain records of all completed PMs across all equipment.
  • Maintain parts stock of most common wearables across all packaging equipment.
  • Complete facility maintenance request which could include painting, picture hanging, toilet / sink repairs, floor repair, and others.
  • Follow all OSHA safety rules and keep work area clean. 
  • Assist with training of packaging line operators to drive self-assessed trouble shooting where possible.
  • Assist with moving and crating of packaging equipment.
  • Attend manufacturers training/schools as needed, as well acceptance tests at these manufacturers as needed.
  • Operate machine tools, when necessary, in repairing or installing equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years related experience required
  • Training in industrial packaging equipment preferred
  • Experience reading electrical/mechanical drawings and CAD drawings
  • Electrical and Mechanical skills
  • Previous packaging equipment service experience preferred but not required
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel and Service Max experience would be a benefit
  • PLC programming knowledge preferred but not required
  • Must be able to support multi-shift operation as needed
