Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment, automation, and lifecycle management of software platforms related to battery sensing technology, battery management systems (BMS), battery charger software, embedded firmware, and web-based applications. This role bridges software development, firmware engineering, quality assurance, and IT operations to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of products across embedded devices, Windows/Linux environments, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing applications.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in CI/CD automation, source control management, scripting, cloud technologies, embedded software workflows, and cross-functional collaboration within battery technology and energy storage product development teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting embedded firmware, desktop applications, web applications, and cloud services.
- Automate build, test, release, and deployment processes using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for scalable development and test environments.
- Support development workflows for battery sensing systems, battery management systems (BMS), battery charger software, test application software.
- Support deployment and operation of:
- Web applications
- Native and Containerized application deployments on Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS platforms
- Manufacturing and diagnostic software tools
- Maintain development, staging, validation, and production environments.
- Automate system provisioning, configuration management, software deployment, and reporting processes.
- Monitor security vulnerabilities against third-party artifact dependencies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of DevOps experience.
- Windows/Linux administration and deployment.
- Expert with automated build systems, CI/CD, release automation and test automation.
- Expert in usage of Git, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions.
- Proficient in containerized applications such as Docker.
- Perform repository management and branching strategies.
- Setup infrastructure relating to artifact management and release processes.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell scripting.
- Proficient developing cloud and on-premise web application deployment workflows.
- Familiar with web servers and application hosting.
- Familiar with security scanning tools such as CodeQL, Dependabot, Semgrep, SonarQude, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated AI literacy, including the ability to effectively leverage generative AI tools to enhance DevOps workflows, automate processes, or improve operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Container Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or equivalent.
- Observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Open Telemetry, Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent.
- Set up centralized repository Unit Test and Code Coverage Reports.
- Experience with .NET technologies.
- Experience integrating hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or automated test systems.
- Understanding of cybersecurity requirements for connected devices.
- Experience supporting regulated or safety-critical products.
Location: This position is located in Longmont, CO with ability to work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) after a training period.
Base Compensation: $103,000 - 146,000 is the projected base salary range and will be determined by the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
