JOB TITLE: Youth Workforce Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Youth Workforce, the Youth Workforce Manager is an active member of MNWB’s Workforce Development team and supports youth workforce programming across the Metro North region. The Youth Workforce Manager supports the development and implementation of MNWB's regional youth workforce strategy, with a focus on expanding employer-driven career exploration, work-based learning, and employment opportunities for high school students and young adults. The position will also support the implementation of competitive grant-funded youth workforce initiatives that supplement MNWB’s core youth funding and expand opportunities for career exploration, internships, employment, and work-based learning.

This position helps connect high school students and young adults to career exploration, workforce readiness, employment, internship, and work-based learning opportunities through strong partnerships with schools, youth providers, community organizations, and employers. This role will work across programs including, but not limited to, Connecting Activities, a grant funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth program, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, and YouthWorks, funded by Commonwealth Corporation. The selected candidate will work to strengthen partnerships among schools, workforce providers, employers, and community organizations; increase access to coordinated youth workforce opportunities; and identify opportunities to braid resources and services across programs.

This is a hybrid position. This position must have regular, in person presence in the Metro North region. We firmly believe in the benefits of in-person work and collaboration, while at the same time recognizing the benefits of remote work and flexibility, in order to live our values and meet our mission. • In-person site visits and/or monitoring of internal and external training programs
  • Any other meetings, events, etc. that the Supervisor/management deems necessary for in-person presence.
  • Please note that this is the current position classification and, in alignment with our flexible work arrangement policy, may be subject to change.
