The team at Altima Port Hope Dental Centre in Port Hope, Ontario is looking for a passionate, hard-working Dentist or Locum or New Grad for a 2 Weeks position to cover a leave.

The Associate Dentist will provide dental services with the highest quality of care to ensure our patients have a positive, rewarding experience and leave with a smile. The Ideal Associate for our team and practice is skilled in helping patients feel at ease and comfortable, can clearly communicate with both patients and coworkers, and work independently as needed.

We are located in beautiful Port Hope 30 mins from Oshawa overlooking the Ganaraska River.

COMPENSATION:

Associates are compensated on a fee for service basis with remuneration starting from 40% collections or base rate pay per day

SCHEDULE:

• 28+ hours per week
• Tues to Friday
• Tuesday and Wednesday -10:00 am- 6:00 pm , Thurs 9:30am - 5:00 pm and Friday- 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Temporary 2 week contract July 21st to Aug 3rd 2026

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Program from an accredited school or university program, OR successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) equivalency process.
• Registered or in processing of registering with the: Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario
• Eligible to practice dentistry in the province of Ontario
• New grads welcome
• 1 year of experience in practicing dentistry is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients’ families
