The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a dependable and energetic Grill Attendant to join Burgers & Brews With a View in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This casual, riverfront outlet serves seasonal comfort foods, local favorites, and nostalgic classics — including our signature Green Chile Cheeseburger — in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with scenic views and live entertainment.
This role is essential to delivering consistent food quality and efficient service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate thrives on the grill, maintains strong attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a collaborative culinary team.
Your Future Career
Grill & Food Preparation
- Prepare burgers, sandwiches, chicken, hot dogs, and other grilled menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure proper doneness and food safety compliance.
- Maintain consistent portioning and presentation standards.
- Ensure timely execution of tickets during peak service periods.
- Assist with prep work, including slicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
Quality & Food Safety
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures (FIFO).
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grill station, prep areas, and equipment.
- Comply with HACCP guidelines and local health department standards.
- Monitor food quality and report concerns promptly to leadership.
Operational Support
- Restock grill station with necessary products and supplies during service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and equipment breakdown.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to maintain smooth kitchen flow.
- Support additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
Team Collaboration
- Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams during high-volume periods.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous grill, line cook, or quick-service experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and operational direction from leadership.
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform efficiently under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry items up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment with exposure to grills and cooking equipment.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and food preparation tools.
- Ability to maintain focus during high-volume service periods.
