Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift
R&L Spring | Lake Geneva, WI
R&L Spring is a family-owned manufacturer with a strong team culture and a clean, well-maintained facility. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Diagnose issues with motors, controls, sensors, drives, and automation systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Install, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Support facility and building maintenance activities, including utility systems, equipment support, preventive maintenance, and general infrastructure upkeep
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
- Assist with equipment installations, moves, and basic welding/fabrication projects.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (3-5 years preferred).
- Experience troubleshooting:
- PLC-controlled equipment
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Electric motors and motor controls
- Mechanical equipment and power transmission systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely work on equipment up to 480V.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Basic computer skills and experience maintaining maintenance records.
- PLC, motor, and controls experience preferred.

This is a hands-on role requiring standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and working around active manufacturing equipment.
