Description:

Red Canyon Technologies is seeking a Project Manager for a remote position supporting rapid support services and engineering development programs.

The role has primary responsibility for overall program delivery for Large Area Maintenance Shelters (LAMS), with emphasis on cost control, budgeting/ forecasting, accurate and timely invoicing, resource and people management, and schedule performance. The Project Manager partners with leadership, contracts, and finance to ensure compliant execution, clear reporting, and alignment across government customers, internal teams, and industry partners.

Responsibilities:
Specifically, the successful Project Manager candidate will be responsible for:

  • Proven project/program management experience supporting government customers and/or defense programs
  • Demonstrated ownership of cost control, including cost tracking, variance analysis, burn-rate management, and corrective action planning
  • Strong experience with budgeting and forecasting (e.g., ETC/EAC development, funding profiles, month-end projections, financial status reporting)
  • Hands-on experience managing invoicing/billing processes (invoice package preparation/validation, WBS/CLIN alignment, coordination with finance/contracts, timely submission)
  • Experience managing program schedules and deliverables, including integrated planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and on-time execution
  • Proven people/resource management capability (tasking, workload balancing, staffing plans, performance feedback, team coordination across functions)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and external partners to meet program objectives
  • Strong risk/issue management skills across cost, schedule, resourcing, and execution; able to drive mitigation plans to closure
  • Experience preparing and delivering monthly status reports and executive-level briefings for leadership and customers
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills; able to manage priorities, expectations, and decision points
  • Working knowledge of contracting/program operations (supporting contract execution, deliverables, reviews, and compliance with internal controls)
  • Ability to represent the organization in customer meetings and relevant government/industry working groups as required

Qualifications:

  • Years of Experience: A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in program management, planning, conducting, and/or analyzing programs
  • Education Level: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or an appropriate related discipline (or projected)
  • Clearance Requirements: Current Secret security clearance or eligibility for Secret clearance

  • Experience with fast moving defense programs
  • Experience supporting the generation of contract documents such as cost estimations and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Unwavering attention to detail, exemplary work ethic, and grace under pressure
  • Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers, customers, and executing organizations
  • Mastery of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellence in oral communication, technical writing, and presentation preparation
