Job Description
Medix Infusion is seeking an experienced Infusion Nurse to join our team in Dallas, TX. As a
Registered Nurse you will be responsible for advocating for and supporting patients. You will play a crucial role
in coordinating and facilitating the infusion therapy process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for
patients. You will work closely with the Intake, Scheduling, Pharmacy, and Clinical departments to manage
patient care while promoting compassionate, high-quality standards.
This is an onsite opportunity at our clinics, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. You will be
working in our Sherman, Denton, McKinney, Plano, and Rowlett locations. You will be working as part of a small team with minimal
supervision.
Medix Infusion provides personalized home and in-suite infusion therapy services for patients with chronic or
acute conditions. Our expert team is dedicated to making each patient’s journey as easy as possible. We
provide medical infusion therapies, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectable and infusion
treatments.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for patients, addressing their concerns and collaborating with the healthcare team to enhance the overall patient experience.
- Ensure timely and effective communication between different departments and healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion therapy procedures, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Research and obtain additional data, consulting with referring offices, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Managers, and Medical Directors when necessary.
- Adhere to established clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety and effectiveness of infusion therapy.
- Serve as a resource to non-clinical staff within the Patient Services Department.
- Ensure work is completed in a timely manner to prevent delays in patient care.
- Attend departmental meetings and in-services.
- Assist with orientation and training of staff.
- Demonstrate courteous, compassionate, and professional behavior at all times.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
- Active RN license with 1-3 years of hands-on clinical experience.
- Valid nursing license with all necessary credentials and certifications in good standing.
- Previous experience in IV therapy or infusion specialty is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care with compassion and professionalism.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients,
- families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to thrive both in a collaborative team environment and as a self-reliant individual contributor.
- Capable of performing all essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters
while performing the primary functions of this job. Normal clinic conditions exist including interacting with
patients, families and other team members while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE;
mask) as required by law and regulation. The Registered Nurse is expected to assist with maintaining a clean
working environment including sanitizing equipment used in between patients.
