Loan Origination System (LOS) Assistant in Grandville, Michigan at Northern Mortgage Services

We’re looking for a tech-savvy and motivated LOS Assistant to join our team and help support our Loan Origination System (ICE Encompass) and related platforms like Simple Nexus. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong programming knowledge who is eager to grow their skills in mortgage technology and systems administration.

As the LOS Assistant, you'll play a key support role—helping troubleshoot issues, assist with system configuration, support users, and maintain documentation. You’ll work closely with the LOS Administrator and cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do:

• Provide responsive support and training to users of our LOS (ICE Encompass).
• Assist with system configuration, template updates, and administrative tasks.
• Troubleshoot and escalate technical issues, supporting root cause identification.
• Contribute to documentation, training guides, and system process updates.
• Help monitor system performance and workflow efficiency.
• Participate in testing and implementing system changes and upgrades.
• Support additional applications such as Simple Nexus as needed.
• Demonstrate a strong service mindset with internal teams and branches.
• Embody the NMS CHIPP philosophy in all team interactions.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (IT, Business, or related field).
• 1+ years of experience in a technology or mortgage support role.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Visual Basic, or similar) is required.
• Familiarity with loan origination systems (like Encompass) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general technical troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand at a computer for extended periods.
