Business Intelligence Analyst at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

Crouse’s Finance team is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst.

Pay Range: $80,000.00/annual

Schedule(s): Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Business Intelligence Analyst Position Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience in organizing diverse datasets, including medical records, health insurance claims (medical and pharmacy), prescribing data, patient behavioral data, and public health information.
• Proven ability to effectively extract and integrate data from disparate sources, and to efficiently organize that data for analysis.
• Create compelling visualizations (e.g., graphs, charts, and dashboards) to clearly communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders such as clinicians, administrators, and executives.
• Perform advanced statistical analyses to uncover trends, correlations, and patterns using techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, predictive modeling, and other approaches as needed.
• Work closely with operational teams to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable reports and solutions. Leverage data-driven insights to solve critical business problems, enhance operational efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and drive the overall success of hospital initiatives.
• This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expert analytical capabilities and a passion for leveraging data to meaningfully improve healthcare delivery and operational performance.

Business Intelligence Analyst Position Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• Experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role in a healthcare setting.
• Experience working with healthcare data systems, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Patient Management Systems, or Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
• Strong knowledge of healthcare KPIs and metrics.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
• Strong SQL skills for querying databases and extracting meaningful insights.
• Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• A strong understanding of healthcare operations, patient care processes, and industry regulations.
• Certification in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Health Informatics preferred.
