Job Title: CPSAI Assessment Counselor

Program: CPSAI

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Main office Monmouth Park Corporate Center 1, 185 Route 36 West, Building E, West Long Branch, NJ 07764

Job Description/Summary

Assessment Counselor conducts substance use assessments with DCPP-referred adults using the CAAPE-5 and LOCI to make recommendations for appropriate level of care. Assessment Counselor conducts clinical interviews and medication reviews, as well as reviews collateral information to make a determination. Assessment Counselor assists client in the referral process to help them successfully engage in treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Full-time position 9am to 5pm
  • Delivers written assessments to the DCPP in a timely manner
  • Conducts urine drug screens
  • Communicates with DCPP and community providers
  • Thoroughly completes all assigned tasks within prescribed time frames and demonstrates reliability with consistent follow up;

Competencies

  • Proficiently communicates - written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders a plus
  • Exhibits critical thinking and willingness to develop clinical skills

Qualifications

Education Associates, Bachelors Degree or CADC
