Position Overview:
Reports directly to the Project Manager. This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities including potentially all classes of supply. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require:(a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure accountability and control of government and customer property in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy.
- Enforces guidance concerning property accountability procedures.
- Advises personnel of their responsibilities in maintaining a property control system.
- Applies detailed procedures and metrics on inventory processes.
- Maintains inventory accountability and control of property through the use of the approved automated software program.
- Receives, stores, and issues material, equipment, and other items.
- Implements and manages Bench stock, the TMDE program, and property management.
- Adheres to warehouse management processes including but not limited to storage, issuance, distribution, material request processing and material cataloging.
Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Personable and professional demeanor with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
- Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft office software applications (MS Word, Excel, outlook, PowerPoint, and the Internet, etc.)
- Must have experience creating, reviewing, editing & formatting large documents i.e. reports, spreadsheets, etc.
- Must have solid grammar and punctuation skills.
- Outstanding organization and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and deadlines/time frames.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload (and adjust when needed).
- Ability to compile data from records and reports and conduct basic review.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and all types of weather.
- Knowledge of government policies.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment to include pallet jacks, lifts and other automated and non-automated equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as necessary which may include bending, squatting, reaching, moderate lifting and moderate carrying.
