The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for a Community Impact Supervisor to organize, lead, develop, and implement strategic and effective community impact initiatives and social service programs aimed at enhancing the welfare of the public.
  1. Identify complex, community mental/behavioral health issues and review related information to develop and evaluate options, strategies and implement solutions.
  2. Analyze program goals and objectives and mobilize teams to carry out expected goals, prepare reports on the outcomes and effectiveness of programs and services.
  3. Offer technical advice and guidance to staff; plan, prioritize and assign tasks; identify knowledge and performance gaps, counsel, train and coach staff to meet performance goals and quality standards; monitor work and evaluate performance.
  4. Collaborate with community resources/organizations to assess individuals dealing with crisis situations. Monitor mental health incidents occurring in the community and develop plans to assist and prevent violent incidents.
  5. Conduct assessments of high-risk participants referred for services, develop plans to assist participants in reaching identified goals. Document case records with all information related to the progress of participants.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, standards, and policies.
  7. Assist in seeking and applying for grants and other funding sources to support existing or new programs and services.
  8. Assist with managing the budget and financial resources of the program.
  9. Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and the public.
  10. Serve as information source and liaison between the City, and various community groups, advisory boards, and State and regional organizations; conducts presentations to communicate services, programs, and activities.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible experience in social work or related work including one year of supervisory responsibility. Experience in managing a department and program development preferred.

Training:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in community development, social work, public administration, public safety or a related field. A Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university is preferred.

LICENSING & CERTIFICATIONS

Required:
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability.

Preferred:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Level C.

From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last 4 - 6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving history check.
