Job Description
Senior Analyst - Technical
The senior analyst identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect the quantity and quality of data in the DSS information systems. Recommends technical and non-technical strategic alternatives and develops and maintains DSS information system plans. Is familiar with a variety of the field''s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Develops and maintains the Decision Support Services (DSS) information systems. Utilizes the DSS systems to capture and retrieve key data. Analyzes and communicates information to Carle Foundation businesses to enhance the quality of managerial decision-making. A bachelor''s degree in business or computer science is required; a master''s degree in business is preferred. Seven years experience as a Programmer/Analyst may be substituted for the degree requirement. Programmer/Analyst experience, preferably in healthcare, is important to facilitate participation in information development. Mainframe experience is desirable. Persons with experience in using the Eclipsys/Transition System (TSI) are desirable. The idea candidate needs to understand large mainframe databases and communications between mainframe and PC systems. Experience with healthcare business systems and records is desirable.
