Ready to make a real impact in Children and Family Services? Join our team as a Child and Youth Worker! Work closely with Child and Youth Counsellors to support children with developmental disabilities or autism in developing vital life skills. You’ll also help create engaging activities that provide recreational, educational, and social opportunities for children in a community setting. This position is open to individuals who self-identify as having a disability.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the selected candidate will create monthly newsletters featuring various recreational activities. They will develop and implement a wide range of summer activities for children and youth with developmental disabilities, as well as create opportunities that provide recreational, educational, and social support for children in a community setting. The role also involves designing online programming, such as yoga classes and virtual farm tours.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working in programs for children with disabilities and demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing situations. They are energetic and passionate about working with children and youth, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should be committed to a problem-solving approach, with the ability to identify sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality. Additionally, they should possess excellent organizational and time-management skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
