Selling Technician at Anderson Air – Springdale, Arkansas

Purpose:

The Selling Technician serves as both a skilled HVAC service professional and a trusted advisor for Anderson Air, responsible for diagnosing system issues and presenting repair and replacement solutions. This role focuses on educating customers, building trust, and helping them make informed decisions that best fit their home comfort needs.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and assess residential HVAC system issues
• Present clear repair and replacement options to customers
• Educate customers on system performance, efficiency, and long-term solutions
• Provide transparent pricing and explain the value of recommended services
• Convert service calls into repair and replacement opportunities when appropriate
• Deliver high-quality service
• Build trust with customers through professionalism and product knowledge
• Maintain accurate job notes, estimates, and customer interactions
• Collaborate with the sales team on larger replacement opportunities
• Participate in company-provided sales and technical training programs
• Represent Anderson Air at events such as home shows and field marketing initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company vehicle
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and customer education skills
• Ability to confidently present options and close sales
• HVAC service and diagnostic experience preferred
• Sales experience or comfort in a sales-driven role
• EPA certification required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Willingness to learn and grow through ongoing training

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (tools, equipment, parts)
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined areas
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely operate HVAC tools and equipment
