The HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for the removal, placement, and complete setup of residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. Working alongside an installation team, you will replace older systems with brand-new, high-efficiency split systems, heat pumps, and furnaces, ensuring every job meets local codes and our strict standards of craftsmanship.
Essential Job DutiesSystem Installation: Correctly install residential and commercial HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits.
Low-Voltage & Piping: Safely run low-voltage wiring, braze refrigerant lines, pull deep vacuums, and connect gas/fuel lines according to manufacturer specifications.
Ductwork Modifications: Perform minor fabrication and adjustments to supply/return plenums and transitions to ensure proper airflow and a clean aesthetic.
Job Site Protection: Maintain a clean work area using drop cloths and shoe covers. Completely clean up the property, remove old equipment, and leave the job site cleaner than you found it.
System Commissioning: Test newly installed systems for proper charge, airflow, and control operations, guiding the homeowner through their new thermostat settings before leaving.
Experience: 2+ years of dedicated HVAC installation experience (Lead Installer experience preferred).
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
Certifications: EPA Section 608 Certification is required.
Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy HVAC equipment up to 100 lbs. with the assistance of teammates or rigging equipment.
Comfort working in tight spaces (crawl spaces, attics) and outdoor environments during peak summer and winter temperatures.
Ability to safely climb ladders, work on roofs, and stand/kneel for extended periods.
