About Us:

Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. designs, manufactures and tests components for launch vehicles and ground support applications—providing many types of valves including throttling valves, ball valves, check and relief valves, vent and relief valves, pressure reducing, both manual and dome loaded, regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.

About the role:

Precision Fluid Controls, Inc. (PFC) is searching for an experienced Senior Quality Control Inspector. We design and manufacture many types of valves including ball valves, check and relief valves, vent valves, pressure reducing regulators, sleeve valves, butterfly valves, solenoid valves plus many others.

A Senior Inspector must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with advanced mechanical inspection techniques, advanced Knowledge of GD&T and related mechanical inspection processes and a minimum of 3 years’ experience with CMM programing. Proficiency with blueprint and engineering drawing specifications is essential to the role. A Senior Inspector must have the ability to utilize standard surface plate inspection equipment, such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Comparators etc. Also, must possess the aptitude to learn and utilize Keyence CMM and Profilometer to support incoming, in process, and final inspection processes and procedures.

The role is a fully on-site role located in our Lincoln, CA.

    Utilize standard surface plate techniques to ensure precise measurements and quality controlNavigate and utilize Excel and Word documents to create, edit, and manage spreadsheets and documents efficientlyRead and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications to accurately follow design requirements and technical instructionsKeep measurement equipment operation by following operating instructionUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publicationsAccomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed

What You’ll Need:

    Advanced Knowledge of CMM Manager Software and CMM programming experienceAdvanced knowledge of GD&TAdvanced math skills with geometry, trigonometryFamiliarity Of Unipoint Operating SystemAbility to mentor and train lower-level inspectorsWillingness to work overtime to support on-time delivery

    Regularly perform repetitive tasksRegularly possess manual dexterity to inspect parts quickly and accuratelySpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAbility to regularly stand for 10 hours
