Job Description
The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) an interstate water resources management agency, is looking for an experienced, detail‑oriented Manager, Accounting to join our Administration & Finance team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading people, detailed financial tasks and reporting, and working in a mission‑driven public sector environment.
The Manager supervises the Accounting Assistant and reports to the Director, Finance & Administration.
About the Role
As the Manager, Accounting, you will serve as a key advisor and operational partner to the Director, Finance & Administration. In a small accounting department, you will both perform and oversee core financial functions which include day-to-day transactions and reporting while also ensuring high-quality output across a complex, multi-program environment. You'll manage billing and cash flow, support agency leaders with fiscal guidance, and combine hands-on technical expertise with organizational leadership.

This is a working manager role. You will personally perform many of the tasks below in addition to overseeing them.

The Commission’s compensation plan includes a combination of a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health care insurance and participation in Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System. There is no civil service exam requirement.
