Job Purpose:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager leads financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a $140M construction and fabrication company, partnering closely with operations to drive profitability and decision-making. This role drives financial visibility, improves profitability, and enables data-driven decisions across the organization.
Description of Essential Duties:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead Annual Operating Plan including but not limited to preparation of the financial model, WIP projections, and capital spending.
- Maintain rolling forecasts and scenario planning as necessary.
- Project Performance & Operational Analysis
- Analyze performance by tank type/size, department, and foreman.
- Report insights to Estimating, Engineering, Fabrication, and Field Operations.
- Cost & Efficiency Analysis
- Concrete yield and material efficiency.
- Equipment utilization and downtime.
- Labor productivity and subsistence per labor hour.
- Fuel consumption and freight efficiency.
- Credit card spend monitoring and compliance.
- Job Costing & Project Controls
- Maintain job setup and cost structure.
- Track change orders and cost shifts.
- Review purchase orders for proper coding.
- Monitor liquidated damages.
- Prepare the 80% complete reports.
- Inventory & Procurement Analysis
- Inventory usage and aging.
- Cycle count oversight.
- Production & Scheduling
- Support smart production scheduling.
- Analyze throughput and bottlenecks.
- Provide weather days to Project Management and Billing which will support extensions.
- KPIs & Reporting
- Gross margin and cost variances.
- On-time completion and defect rates.
- Equipment downtime.
- Dashboard development.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

- Bachelor’s in Finance / Accounting (MBA/CPA preferred).
- 5-8+ years FP&A or operational experience.
- Construction or project-based experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel and modeling.
- ERP systems experience.
- BI tools (Power BI / Tableau) preferred.
