About This Position
(1) Full-Time

Summary:
This is a dual rate position. May act as a Count Clerk or a Count Team Supervisor depending on operational needs. Performs and/or oversees basic counting and recording of large sums of money accurately. Performs and/or oversees the collection of machine bill validator boxes. Ensures the safety of funds processed. Maintains records in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Performs duties in accordance with casino policies and in a professional, friendly, efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
• Operate large and small currency counters.
• Count daily receipts from gaming, sports wagering, and retail operations.
• Prepare cash and chips for transfer to vault.
• Clean and maintain soft count room and equipment.
• Operate 10-key, as well as basic office equipment.
• Must learn, comprehend and comply with all company policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations and Title 31 requirements.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Ensures compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
• Ensures control/protection of company assets.
• Assist with directing work flow and break times during assigned shifts.
• Assures that all count procedures are being performed.
• Provides input with regard to evaluating personnel.
• Assists in scheduling of count room team members according to procedures.
• Maintains harmony among team members and resolves grievance according to CTFC policy.
• Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of work experience handling large sums of money.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.
• Ability to clearly communicate or present findings and numerical data.
• Ability to understand and speak the English language.
• Skill and ability to accurately and repetitively enter data.
• Must be proficient and have experience with 10-key calculator.
• Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training upon hire and annually.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.
• Must possess a current and valid Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
• Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
• May occasionally walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat and reach.
• Ability to turn wrist, arm, and hand frequently.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to comprehend complex issues.
• Ability to be given verbal and written instruction and apply the instruction accurately.
• Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
• Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on telephone/radio conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
• May be exposed to a high level of noise in the work environment.
• May be exposed to tobacco smoke, fumes or airborne particles.
• Ability to work in confined and secured spaces for hours at a time.
