POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for highly a motivated Prep Cook who can work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Come join our team and provide our guests with warm hospitality, exceptional service and fabulous food.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
• Stock prepared food in respective location

QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven experience as prep cook
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• A team player with good communication skills
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
• Very good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is regularly required to stand, reach, bend and lift heavy objects. The noise level in the work environment is typically high.
Stamina and Endurance: Ability to stand for long periods while preparing ingredients and performing other kitchen tasks.
Strength: Capability to lift and carry heavy items such as bulk ingredients, cutting boards, and kitchen equipment, often up to 50 pounds.
Manual Dexterity: Skill in handling knives, chopping ingredients, and using kitchen tools with precision and speed.
Mobility: Flexibility to bend, reach, and move quickly around the kitchen while working at different stations and retrieving ingredients.
Good Hand-Eye Coordination: Needed for tasks like chopping, slicing, dicing, and prepping ingredients efficiently and safely.
Tolerating Heat: Comfort working in a hot environment around ovens, stoves, and other kitchen appliances for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on accurate measurements and preparation for food consistency.
