Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern/Co-op to support the design, development, and testing of mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical systems. This role focuses on power transmission systems, particularly IVT drivetrain technologies for heavy-duty vehicles.
Working under direct supervision, you will contribute to product development, prototype testing, and system integration while gaining hands-on industry experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design Support
- Perform engineering calculations and support design activities
- Create 3D models and components using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Develop and review detailed engineering drawings
- Support programming tasks (C++ and embedded C for electrical/control applications)
Systems Integration
- Assist in integrating mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems into cohesive designs
- Support system-level testing and validation activities
Prototype Assembly & Testing
- Participate in prototype builds and test execution
- Document and report test results based on established test plans
Product Support
- Assist with troubleshooting product issues in-house and in the field
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Administrative & Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Follow engineering standards, processes, and corporate requirements
- Utilize ERP and PLM systems for documentation and workflow
- Support LEAN manufacturing initiatives
Other

Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design and strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and control systems
- Exposure to C++, embedded C, and MATLAB/Simulink is an asset
- Technical writing and documentation skills
