Job Summary:
The payroll coordinator is responsible for assisting with accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This person will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policy as well as taxes, W2, 401k and Garnishment Processing. This person must have experience with Workday, payroll processing, and knowledge of federal, state, and local taxes as well as familiarity with ADP SmartCompliance.
Essential Functions:
- Process payroll on a weekly basis
- Enter and maintain employee payroll into Workday
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Process W2 Forms and Wage Garnishments
- Administer 401k payroll deductions
- Coordinate payroll changes for new hires and terminations
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records
- Works with the HR and Finance teams
- Responds to employee questions regarding pay, deductions and payroll procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have experience with Workday Payroll
- Experience processing payroll
- Tax Knowledge
- Ability to adhere to weekly deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee information
- Knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance
Credentials and Experience:
- 3+ years processing payroll
- Workday Experience required
- Knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance
Physical Requirements:
- Walking short distances
- Bending, stooping, twisting.
- Handling/grasping documents or office equipment.
- Sitting and/or standing for short or extended periods of time.
- Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively and respond appropriately in person and/or on the telephone.
- Vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data.
- Repetitive motions for computer equipment use.
- Requires exertion of force of 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously to lift/carry/move objects, files and documents.
- Work is performed primarily in an office environment using standard office equipment
