Laborer - Underground at Verita Telecommunications Corp – Northville, Michigan

Verita is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to support fiber optic installation projects. This role involves fiber pulling, job site preparation, and assisting crews with underground and aerial telecom construction. Ideal candidates are comfortable working outdoors, performing physical labor, and following safety protocols on active job sites.

• Pull fiber optic cable through conduit, handholes, vaults, and ducts

• Assist with underground and aerial fiber installation projects

• Set up and maintain a safe, organized work site

• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment

• Operate basic hand tools and power tools as required

• Assist splicers and technicians with prep work and cleanup

• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards

• Work in various outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)

• Perform other labor duties as assigned

• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs regularly

• Comfortable working long shifts and overtime when required

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• Previous experience in telecom, construction, or utility work

• Experience pulling fiber or working with conduit

• Knowledge of underground or aerial telecom environments

• Valid driver’s license

• OSHA 10 certification (a plus, not required)

• Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling

• Standing and walking for extended periods
