Food Service Assistant at RecSol Recovery Solutions, LLC – Homestead, Florida

Position Description:

We are seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our team and help provide nutritious, quality meals to individuals served and staff at our site. This role is vital to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming kitchen environment where food service supports health and wellness. What You’ll Do

Prepare and serve food portions, beverages, and meals according to menus and diet cards for individuals served.

Follow sanitation practices by cleaning daily, maintaining proper storage, and ensuring all temperature logs are completed.

Ensure food safety by preventing cross-contamination, maintaining proper temperatures, and creating a safe environment for individuals served and staff.

Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, following scheduled cleaning routines and reporting repair needs promptly.

Accurately complete production records, ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.

Deliver food carts to units and return them after meals.

Maintain personal hygiene and follow infection control standards in accordance with local health department guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience

Food service experience (preferred).

Licenses/Certifications

ServSafe certification (must be obtained within three (3) months of employment).
