Job Description: Member Development Associate
Overview
The role of a Member Development Associate is pivotal in expanding our member community by building relationships, creating qualified opportunities, and guiding potential members to a clear next step. This document outlines the comprehensive responsibilities of a Member Development Associate.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Member Relationship Manager team to facilitate the onboarding process for new members, ensuring a smooth transition and a positive start to the relationship.
- Understands all aspects of federal, state, and local city reporting requirements
- Understands all local (city and state) and federal reporting requirements for certified payroll
- Use Click Up to set up and monitor all new member projects and any projects that will be starting.
- Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with members by understanding their prevailing wage reporting requirements and certified payroll needs.
- Offer a customized and collaborative approach to ensure the certified payroll process for each member is fluid and timely
- Act as the main point of contact for potential and new members, offering support and guidance.
- Consistent communication via video calls, phone calls, and emails to ensure the prevailing wage reporting and the certified payroll process for each project has been completed within the company timelines.
- Use CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite which includes using the internet, company software and any databases that member accounts are under.
- Share member feedback and insights with internal teams to drive service improvements.
- Participate in regular team meetings and strategy sessions to align team goals and objectives.
- Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges faced.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues to maintain member satisfaction and trust.
- Maintain professionalism and composure in tricky situations, demonstrating strong conflict resolution skills.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline of potential members.
- Identify opportunities through associations, events, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Book meetings from webinars, seminars, and partner programs
- Run discovery calls to understand project type, timeline, compliance needs, and decision process
- Translate potential member needs into next steps that align with PWC services
- Coordinate with operations to confirm scope prior to proposal
- Represent PWC at industry events and association meetings (Travel required 25% - 40%)
- Nurture relationships with industry professionals that generate introductions
- Respond to inquiries quickly and document next actions in HubSpot
- Prepare or coordinate proposals and basic intake items
- Present to groups of contractors, industry professionals, and associations at webinars, seminars, and in-person meetings. Follow up with attendees and track outcomes from hosted event
- Take HubSpot scheduled calls on-time, create accurate notes, and follow up tasks in HubSpot.
- Update deal pipeline in a timely manner with accurate information
- Acquire new members each month based on assigned targets
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills.
- Stay up to date with best practices and embrace new technologies.
- Seeking feedback from members and management team to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Qualifications
- You have a stable ‘at home’ work environment with dedicated office and/or noise free space and sufficient internet connection to accomplish online work, video, and phone calls
- Knowledge of state/federal prevailing wage requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management or a similar role
- Strong team skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable presenting to small and large groups with clear, plain-language delivery
- Business development or Sales experience
- Experience coordinating association events or partner programs
- Familiarity with HubSpot, ClickUp, and LCPtracker is a plus
