JANITOR-CLEANER at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHEAST IOWA, INC. – Waterloo, Iowa

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Vice President of Infrastructure within the scope of the mission, guiding principles, values, ethics and strategic goals of Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. This position is responsible for office care and facility housekeeping. Provides excellent service by way of quality of work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains top-flight condition and appearance of all offices and common areas by focusing on housekeeping and safety at all times. Communicates needs for repair, fixtures, maintenance, etc.

Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, dusts, empties garbage, etc so that all areas are clean and sanitary.

Ensures that all supplies and equipment for completing tasks are stocked and in working order.

Keeps track of supplies and equipment in orderly fashion.

Verifies that all facility doors are locked and lights are off before leaving for day.

Completes all duties of the job and all work requirements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent or participation in Goodwill programming.

Possess a positive attitude and infect others with similar enthusiasm.

Must be able to lift, push, or pull fifty pounds with assistance.

Loyalty to the agency and its mission and policies.

Reliable transportation. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
