Position SummaryThis is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7AM – 3:30PM (varies a bit depending on the season), with some overtime as needed.

During the summer season, select technicians travel across our 10+ Seattle-area locations performing diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and upkeep — keeping our fleet at its best for members on the water. In the off-season, you'll work out of our Tacoma repair shop overhauling, refurbishing, and preparing boats for the next season.

What You'll DoPerform diagnostics and repair on outboard engines and onboard systems across a diverse fleetComplete basic through full service intervals — oil changes, impellers, anodes, and beyondPerform gelcoat and fiberglass repairsConduct seasonal commissioning and winterizationTravel between our 10+ Puget Sound area locations during peak seasonWork on refurbishment projects at our Tacoma shop in the off-seasonTow and launch boats on trailers as neededCommunicate clearly with the team using tools such as SlackRequirementsMercury or Yamaha certification is strongly preferred — a meaningful advantage in the selection processMinimum one (1) year of marine or related mechanical experience preferredKnowledgeable in outboard motors and basic boat systemsValid driver's license with ability to learn towing and launching boats on trailersPhysical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbsPhysical ability to board and de-board boats safelyPhysical ability to kneel and bend to access boat interiors and compartmentsSelf-directed and capable of working independently across multiple locationsHighly effective communication skills with a calm, professional presence during periods of high activityPersonal mobile device for team apps (Slack, ADP, etc.)High school diploma or equivalent preferredOur ValuesAs a Freedom Boat Club employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values — these aren't words on a wall; they're how we show up for our members and each other every day.
