About the Role:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the hospitality establishment to ensure exceptional service delivery and profitability. This role requires strategic leadership to drive sales growth, manage costs effectively, and maintain high standards in food and beverage services. The General Manager will lead and develop a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment that motivates employees and enhances customer satisfaction. They will be accountable for managing the full P&L, implementing incentive programs, and optimizing food costs to maximize financial performance. Ultimately, the General Manager will serve as the key driver of business success, aligning operational goals with corporate objectives and market demands.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record in people management and leading diverse teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements and controlling food and operational costs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
- Certification in hospitality management or related professional credentials.
- Familiarity with advanced hospitality management software and sales CRM tools.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations across all departments including food and beverage, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Monitor and control food costs, labor expenses, and other operational costs to maintain profitability and meet budgetary goals.
- Oversee P&L management by analyzing financial reports, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to build a skilled and customer-focused workforce.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote services and enhance brand presence in the marketplace.
Skills:
The General Manager will utilize people management skills daily to lead, motivate, and develop staff, ensuring high performance and excellent customer service. Project and corporate sales expertise will be applied to identify new business opportunities and build strong client relationships that drive revenue growth. Cost control and food cost management skills are critical for maintaining profitability by monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation. P&L management skills enable the General Manager to analyze financial data, make informed decisions, and implement strategies that improve the bottom line. Additionally, designing and managing incentive programs will help foster a motivated workforce aligned with organizational goals.
