Applications Developer SME at INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STRATEGIES INC – Ashburn, Virginia

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking an Applications Developer SME to work for our company.

Summary:

• Client Agency is Department of Commerce
• Technicalexpert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software.
• Performs high level studies, analysis and evaluations of recent designs, integrations, documentation and implementation of similar complex projects.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develop specifications to resolve them.
• Contributes to assuring consistency of overall analytical effort.
• Maintains records and drafts preliminary reports. experience providing programming solutions in a variety of settings.
• Experience with database, internet, web, e-business, and commercial-off-the-shelf software and interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage the work of others.
• Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
• Translates detailed design into computer software.
• Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required and quality product.
• Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
• Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
• Provides technical direction/assistance to subordinate staff.

Requirements:

• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
• A bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in an IT related field are required.
• Must have strong communication skills.
