About This Position
About the Role
ATP North America LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Slitting Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain slitting line equipment to ensure high-quality output. This position is essential to meeting production targets while maintaining strong safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Monitoring
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications.
- Monitor process variables to ensure all products meet required performance and quality standards.
- Load raw materials and unload finished goods according to bill of materials and product specifications.
- Maintain accurate production records and equipment logs.
- Meet daily output goals by adhering to production schedules.
- Participate in operator-led preventive maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct in-line quality checks using approved measuring devices.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to resolve quality concerns and maintain efficiency.
- Report any equipment or measuring device malfunctions that may affect product quality.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
- Collaborate with the Slitting Manager to improve product settings, boost efficiency, and reduce scrap.
- Support team members and serve as machine lead when required.
- Train Slitting Helpers to ensure proper workflow and safety compliance.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping guidelines.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area with clear walkways and properly stored materials.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Professional / Related Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator or helper.
- 2–4 years of specific machine operator experience.
- Preferred: Experience working within the PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) or tape industry.
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Basic reading and math comprehension.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 12-hour shifts.
