THE OPPORTUNITY
The Program Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the Blank School’s pre-collegiate summer programs. This position is responsible for end-to-end program execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across residential and commuter offerings. The Program Manager partners closely with campus and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality experiences for high school students and their families.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsible for the execution of all operational aspects of Pre-College programs, including timelines, staffing plans, logistics, and daily run-of-show.

Oversee day-to-day program operations during sessions, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues to ensure a high-quality student experience.

Ensure full compliance with all state, local, and institutional requirements related to programs serving minors; oversee documentation, training, and incident response.

Build and sustain strong partnerships with campus partners such as Student Life, Residential Life, Public Safety, Health Services, Facilities, faculty, and external vendors.

Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise seasonal staff, paraprofessionals, and student workers; set expectations and provide ongoing feedback.

Develop scalable processes, templates, and documentation to support program growth and consistent delivery.

Serve as the initial escalation point for student, parent/guardian, and staff concerns during program sessions. Resolve or elevate issues in a timely fashion and as appropriate.

Manage program budgets, purchasing, and vendor coordination in collaboration with Blank School leadership.

Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 5-7 years of experience in program management, youth programming, student affairs, or higher education environments.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced settings.

Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and risk management practices for programs serving minors.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to quickly learn new technology platforms, such as CVENT, Workday and JIRA.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and lead with professionalism and authority.

Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.

Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.

Must have strong technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/calendar) and Google Workspace.

Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies.

HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK

This is a full-time temporary position working approximately 35 hours per week through August 2026.

Must be on campus during all program sessions; some evening and weekend hours will be required.

Campus housing during program sessions may be available depending on need and program structure (monthly taxes would be incurred as it is a taxable benefit).

ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE

Experience in youth programming, student affairs, K–12 or higher education, summer camps, or related settings preferred.

Experience with summer program registration systems or operational reporting a plus.

Familiarity with laws and regulations pertaining to minors in residential or youth program environments a plus.

Experience with workflow or project management tools a plus.

Multilingual skills a plus.

This is an exempt position with a hiring range of $6,358-$7,064 per month. This position includes paid sick leave where required by law. Eligibility, accrual, and usage will follow applicable state and local regulations.
